Nephrology 101 ( kidneys for kids)
Disecting a kidney is not for kids who are afraid of smells. Kidneys smell like blood and urine. Using their scapels, they carefully slit the kidney in half lengthwise. Using probes and surgical scissors they opened up the kidney completely and then using pins they identifed the major parts of the kidney.
EYE SURGERY 101
Our fifth year surgical residents discovered that eyeball is a good nme. Removed from their sockets, eyes look like balls. The grade students made careful observations and used their own eyes to find the different part's of a cow's eye.

Have a heart!
We took our last chapter test today in Math. We will review our topics since the beginning of the year. We will have our final exams next Thursday and Friday. We will also start testing in Reading next week. Tomorrow in Reading we will look at the poem The Rose Family by Robert Frost.
In Science we did our second lab with Ms. B by dissecting a pig heart. We still have two more dissection labs(eye and kidney) that we will do the last week of school.
